Beginning in the Summer of 2010, our official home is with the American Chemical Society Division of Professional Relations Subdivision for Gay and Transgender Chemists and Allies. Abbreviated, you can call us the ACS PROF GTCA Subdivision. Or the ACS PROF Subdivision for LGBTA Chemists. Our new website is http://prof.sites.acs.org/lgbtandallies.htm
As an ACS subdivision, we are responsible for providing programming of interest to the LGBTA chemists’ community. Our goals are:
=>Promote Inclusion, Advocacy, Recognition, Mentoring, Networking, and Diversity of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning chemists
=>Educate the Society, its members, and employers of chemists about why overt inclusion and acknowledgment of LGBT people is important – in EEO practices, in hiring/benefit practices, in the workplace social environment, in diversity training, and in diversity outreach.
=>Collaborate with other organizations concerned about workplace and career issues unique to LGBT people
=>Maintain a long term collaborative relationship with National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals ( NOGLSTP )
Content on this website is archival, and will not be updated after Summer 2010. Please visit our new home for announcements and activities.
