Mentor Search

Description:
Leads in the search for potential advisers for out LGBT students by compiling and maintaining online list of supportive faculty members.  Works to educate about and empower queer individuals to be fully out as students and to help maximize their academic success and fulfillment.

Proposed Tasks:

  • Write a statement of support for faculty members to sign
  • Find mentors in STEM departments as per the Fellowship proposal
  • Post and maintain a list of names of supportive faculty on the website
  • Find more funding for queer initiatives and queer students
