NOGLSTP’s HSSE Library display explores how homosexuality has been viewed in Western Culture through the ages, by example of six texts still influential today.

One should not attempt to understand the sequence of texts as illustrating an ever improving understanding towards an ultimate, fixed ‘truth’ about homosexuality. Rather, one needs to understand them — even in their contradictory nature — as all making their own significant cultural contribution to our contemporary understanding of homosexuality.
